Sheesh, the pixels weren't even dry on my previous post... The ruling on the field was a hooker, but upon further review in the booth that call has been over-ruled. Instead, the officials have determined that the correct ruling is a strip club.
That account came Wednesday from Chris Khamis, a 47-year-old homeless man who says he was present when Allenby hurt himself.
Police have opened a second-degree robbery and fraudulent use of credit card investigations in the case.
"There was no crime (when I was present). It was his stupidity," Khamis said in an interview. "(Allenby) passed out and hit his head. I was there. Nobody pushed him out of a car."
Now Robert, what do you mean by "action"? Just a basic, no-harm, no-foul lap dance or perhaps something more... Because I'm still not ready to concede on my hooker call...
Turns out from this local report that I'm not the only one skeptical of Mr. Allenby's account:
Despite mounting skepticism about Robert Allenby's claims of getting kidnapped, beaten and robbed in Hawaii last Friday night, the Australian pro golfer is standing by his story. He told the news network Channel 9 Australia someone using one of his stolen credit cards spent $25,000 in one transaction at an Oahu jewelry store.
Sources told Hawaii News Now that a homeless man was caught on security video using Allenby's stolen credit cards to buy more than $10,000 worth of goods from other stores in the Ala Moana and Ward areas, including an ABC Store and an Urban Outfitters store in Waikiki.
Police are searching for the suspect and may release surveillance video images of him as soon as Thursday.
Law enforcement sources said they are skeptical of Allenby's story and the Honolulu Police Department has not opened kidnapping or assault cases, in spite of his claims that he was kidnapped and beaten.
HPD has opened a robbery case, but law enforcement sources said as of Wednesday, it's unlikely police would pursue that case because they lacked evidence of a robbery.
Officers, don't you know who he is?
So, where did the story come from? All I can say is that I'd like to be at a poker table with Allenby, because I think this is what's known in the trade as a tell:
On Sunrise this morning, Allenby said: 'I've watched Taken quite a few times. It kind of felt pretty much the same as that. Just very surreal, yeah.'
The thriller flick features Liam Neeson playing a former spy who is trying to track down his biological daughter, who has been sold into sex slavery.
Quite a few tines, Robert? A little obsessive there, aren't we since the movie kinda sucked... But in any event, Robert no doubt envisions himself as the hero of our story, yanno, like this:
Come to think of it, I see the resemblance.... this is not going to end well for Allenby.
