Pinehurst Flyovers - Holes 10 - 12

Back to the sand hills of North Carolina as we head for the homestretch:

Hole No. 10 - Par 5 - 619 Yards:  The longest hole on the course and the last chance to beat up on a five-par, presents a very tricky green to hit and hold:

The USGA flyover:

Hole No. 11 - Par 4 - 486 Yards:  This starts a stretch of four consecutive two-shotters, a stretch that our Shackelford considers the least interesting on the property.  Here's how he sums up the appeal of long Par-4's today:
...and now enter a less exciting bit of the property with some seemingly long par-4's, though I'm not sure how lengthy any two-shotter is for today's ripped, kale-eating, all natural golfers who just happen to hit their Top Flite-equivalents with driver heads the size of watermelons.
Don't sugar-coat it Geoff, tell us exactly how you feel.

Hole No. 12 - Par 4 - 451 Yards:  Another subtle left-to-right hole, the fairway pinches at about 300 yards from the back tees.  This is accordingly another area to watch for divots:
