Catching Up - Saturday

When last we visited, I was abruptly finishing my post on our day on The Old Course, leaving a few observations on the cutting room floor.

We had one of the caddies take some photos of us on the Swilican Bridge, and I had the thought to try to replicate the move Theresa made back in 2015.  Here's what that looked like:

This we come off as awkward and unsteady on our feet, so perhaps you'd prefer one more of Jenna:

Like moths to a flame, a swarm of Japanese tourists descend:

Theresa bids a fond farewell to Jimmy:

We make our way back to our car and, as expected, they're packing the Himlayas:

For ages there was no real clubhouse to service the Links Trust's gaggle of golf courses, but they've finally built one.  Oh goodie, more retail footage, but the same folks that have taken down Old Tom's name, do find ways to celebrate their heritage.  I mentioned Allan Robertson a few days ago:

First man ever to break 80 in 1858, two years prior to that first Open Championship.  Some great old names for sure....  The fourth hole is named Ginger Beer, after another mainstay of St. Andrews golf:

Milk?  Hope Old Daw didn't over-stock that product....

We pass on the Jigger and Dunvegan, a bit early for this guy to start drinking, but we hear they've closed Market Street:

That sound you hear is Jewelle gnashing her teeth... the girl is a bit of a shopper.  For the bride and I, way too many of our fellow human beings....

Elsie has alerted us to a flower show in The Upper Largo, so off we go, and it's quite the adorable affair:

Tables set for coffee and cake after, perhaps a bit civilized for us.

The judging has already taken place, but within numbered categories that don't reveal what things are:

Then some root vegetables and other odd-looking species of flora:

Quite adorable, and we're glad we've stopped by.

After dinner at home, we head out to see town, first to a home where Theresa has discovered a new litter of kittens.  Only the one adult out at this time:

Then down to the harbor:

Tomorrow, Kingsbarns.... Guaranteed to be a perfect day.
