We arrived in early afternoon, and took some time to take a walk along the cliffs of the accurately-named Ogmore-by-Sea. Stunning views of North Devon, from whence we came a very few hours earlier:
These sheep seemed to be making a break for it:
And you can decide how you feel about the sweep panorama function on the camera:
We took the opportunity to drive into the lively capital city of Cardiff for dinner. Cardiff presented as a modern European city, with lots of fashionable young folks walking and bicycling about. If you were curious as to whether European millennials are as enamored of their ink as their American brethren, it was sufficiently warm for me to confirm that to be the case.
The traffic was a bit mad and a signposting to City Centre parking led us astray, such that for a while it appeared that our dinner would have the added benefit of being halal compliant. But we found our way, dinner was delightful, topped off by authentic Banoffee Pie.
To be clear, it wasn't Elsie's Banoffee pie, but it probably isn't fair to hold commercial establishments to that standard.
The forecast for the next two days, in which we're scheduled to play Royal Porthcawl and Pennard is quite dire, though we arose to skies with blue patches.
