Apologies for this morning's unexplained absence, necessitated by the opportunity to play Old Oaks. And please don't worry about my well-being in light of the storms, as we scurried up the 18th just as the rain showed it's malicious intent.
Regular blogging is likely to resume tomorrow, but for now I wanted to share this Golf Digest video that captures the spirit of U.S. Open Local Qualifying. By the time you get to Sectionals, it's deadly serious business, but Local has this nothing-to-lose feel that is captured well by narrator Jaime Diaz, who for my nickel just about the best observer of this game not named Dan Jenkins..
But it's relevant here mostly due to its venue, Willow Ridge Country Club, the place where your humble correspondent hangs his hat and often his head as well. Enjoy.
