Coincidence? I think not...
Luke Kerr-Dineen reports on the following curious robbery:
According to the Baltimore Sun, the unnamed suspect allegedly broke into a Maryland house on the night of March 1st and stole a purse -- which contained cash, a credit card and a Social Security card -- an iPhone, a set of golf clubs and a box of Omaha steaks. The suspect remains on the streets, and local police are pursuing the case.
So this rings a bell for your humble bloger.... where was I reading about the confluence of golf and grilled animal flesh?
Ah yes, it was here. I would suggest to the Maryland authorities that they start their search with one David Owens, cleverly hiding in plain sight as a golf writer and blogger. His use for a new set of golf clubs needs no support.
As for the steaks, the post linked above is the perfect cover, allegedly asserting pre-heist his complete satisfaction with a lunch of mere burgers and dogs.
